• Regretful Oath Keeper Leader Said Having Rifles on Jan. 6 Would Have ‘Fixed It Right Then and There’ The trial of Stewart Rhodes and four other members of the militia group charged with seditious conspiracy began Monday in Washington, D.C.
• Oath Keepers Caught On Tape: Insurrection Act Gave ‘Legal Cover’ During opening arguments at the Oath Keepers sedition trial, prosecutors poked holes in the defendants’ potential defense by playing a recording of a top Oath Keeper saying the "Insurrection Act" was "legal cover."
• These are the Oath Keepers on trial for seditious conspiracy Opening statements are set to begin in Washington, DC, as the sedition trial of five members of the Oath Keepers gets underway. • Federal judge rules Oath Keeper founder (Elmer Stewart Rhodes) will remain in custody until trial for alleged role in Jan. 6 Capitol attack Elmer Stewart Rhodes III, 56, of Granbury, is charged with “seditious conspiracy” for his role on Jan. 6.
