Former Parkersburg city councilman (Eric Barber) sentenced for role in U.S. Capitol insurrection A former city councilman in Parkersburg was sentenced in federal court to 45 days in jail for his role in the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U. S. Capitol, court documents said. Eric Gene Barber was sentenced Tuesday in U. S. District Court for the District of Columbia to the jail term for “parading, demonstrating or picketing” in a Capitol building.
