Sentencing is beginning in the Jan 6 case of two brothers from Chesapeake, Virginia. Paul & Eric Von Bernewitz. This is a misdemeanor "unlawful picketing" case, but feds are gonna ask for 14-days for Paul .. arguing he joined a group "pushing" against police line
One Virginia Beach brother (Paul Von Bernewitz) gets prison time, the other (Eric Von Bernewitz) gets probation for role in U.S. Capitol riot Paul Von Bernewitz, 51, got 30 days in federal prison. His brother, Eric Von Bernewitz, received two years probation and a $1,000 fine. Both were also ordered to pay $500 in restitution for the damage done to the U.S. Capitol.
