Man (Thomas Baranyi) Who Told Media in On-Camera Interview That He Witnessed Ashli Babbitt Shooting Is Cooperating with Feds After Pleading Guilty The New Jersey man who gave a self-incriminating interview on Jan. 6, telling a reporter that he was near Ashli Babbitt when she was shot outside the Speaker's Lobby in the Capitol building, has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor and is cooperating with the feds.

• In Thomas Baranyi case, USG offered a plea offer in mid-August. That's interesting bc before that they were still trying to get a sense of what had gone down at the site of the Ashli Babbitt shooting. He was right behind her when she died.

• Thomas Baranyi Arrested After Admitting to Storming Capitol in TV Interview Baranyi, of New Jersey, told a reporter on camera that he "blitzed" his way into the Capitol and was standing next to Ashli Babbitt when she was shot dead by a police officer.

Wednesday the 13rd

• Former Peace Corps member Thomas Baranyi, 28, was arrested and charged with “knowingly and wilfully” forcing his way into the Capitol. He was next to Ashli Babbitt and video showed blood on his hands.
